We have our team meeting tomorrow starting at 7:35AM. We will not have team photos so you don't have to wear makeup... but you still have to brush your teeth.
In honor of National Book Day (9/6), we will discuss such things as:
How to Appear Normal at Social Events
Eating People is Wrong
Let That Sh*t Go
Outwitting Squirrels
Fancy Coffins to Make Yourself
You're Sharp Enough to Be Your Own Surgeon
How to Defend Yourself Against Alien Abduction
Mommy Drinks Because You're Bad
Please come prepared to share your favorite book with us and why you love it so. :D
September Schedule
Wow, this took forever, eh? Sorry about that. The doctors will be in and out throughout the month. We want to make sure assistants receive their hours. I've included DKM's assistants and Te on various days when their doctor is out. I've gone through the vacation forms and made sure the times that were requested off were listed as off. Please let me know if you have any changes.
You've probably noticed times with Dr. Waddle listed and assistants working with her. We are currently courting a few options for assistants and plan to have that position filled by the time both doctors are back at the end of September. Once that happens, I'll update our schedule and let you know.
Celebrating Responsibly
As you know, at HCD and EVG, we provide gift cards and lunches for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, and bar mitzvahs. To ensure that you receive your lunch in a timely manner, we ask that all lunch orders are made by 10AM via the front desk. You also have just the month of your special event to receive said gifts. Any time outside of that window will result in hunger and negative gift cards.
Do You Hear What I Hear?

Yeah, I didn't hear it either last night. The compressor was left on as well as a few lights. Let's do our best to turn off every chair, x-ray machine, lights, and equipment, and restart our computers to ensure the likelihood of gremlins is reduced dramatically. Everyone needs some time off, including our equipment. (Bonus points if you can name this movie. Negative vibes if you can't.)
Waiting for a Miracle
As we continue to wait for Dr. Waddle's license to come through, we thank you all for your patience and helping your patients. The front desk has been bombarded with tasks to reschedule and explain to the patients why this is still an issue. Hygienists are having to explain to patients why they have to wait longer for their exams. Assistants are waiting to start treatment and seeing sometimes 3 patients at once to ensure patients from out of town that were supposed to see DAW are seen. And of course, doctors are working in hyper drive to see everyone and keep our patients happy wherever they are in the synergy model. It's been a lot... and we thank you for keeping your heads up and striving to keep moving forward. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Amazing things are coming... and that includes relief from the pressure of many patients and only 2 doctors.
A little music and trivia to drive the point home... Did you know when Stephanie Beatriz recorded this song while she was in labor? Talk about waiting for a miracle! "Pushing" through the pain with diligence, commitment, and focused energy will help us get to our little miracle... Now it's time for me to go to sleep. Thank you all again!
Additional Information: Blake's Sensor Report
Not sure how things have been going with the new protocol for sensors at HCD. Hopefully, the new process has ensured success with the sensors. Here is the complete report from Blake. It's good information for all of us to be aware of regarding this IT issue. Please let me know ASAP when one of the sensors stops working.
Additional Information: Dr. Denton's Information
From our team meeting in August, these are the handouts Dr. Denton gave to all our team. This includes her letter that she won't be retiring any time soon. Feel free to share this file (once downloaded) with your patients. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
