There's a lot going on in our world today that can cause tension in places we never expected to see or feel. We know as healthcare workers you can bear the brunt of people's frustrations. Your patients expect you to answer questions out of your realm of clear authority which can either make it awkward or very tense if you don't answer in agreeance with their beliefs. Please know you have the continued support of the doctors and myself. It's hard to stand strong in the midst of breaking waves of stress, sorrow, and despair. However, we hare one another to buoy each other and to stand beside one another to give support. The waves still slow, the calm will return... Keep your head up and know how grateful we are for each of you!

OCTOBER SCHEDULE

As we welcome our new team member, Tiphanni, we also welcome some changes to the overall schedule. As we discussed in our team meeting last week, we have changes to hygienists' and the practice's schedule. Click HERE to see the full October schedule.

9-Hour Team

Those that had 9 or 10 hours prior to COVID will begin a 9-hour daily schedule starting on the 19th. We will eventually move back to the full 10, but we want to ease into it for our team. We also want to see how productive we can be with the additional hour.

8-Hour Team

If you originally worked 8 hours prior to COVID, you will remain on an 8-hour schedule. Please remember any time over your 8 hours is considered overtime.

SEPTEMBER REVIEW

September has been a great month filled with ... stuff. And we came out on top in several places. We retained more patients than we lost. We also closed the gap between our goals and actuals for the yearly production and collection. What else do you see that's worth a shout out?

SEE A NEED, FILL A NEED

Have you seen the movie, "Robots"? One of the characters, Miss Copperbottom, was welcoming Rodney into her home to stay and he asked why she was so willing to do so. She said she was trying to do her part; "See a need - fill a need!"

It means so much when we see the team taking ownership of decorations or repairs or protocols to help us improve overall. We are grateful to those who unconsciously making this their motto.

When you see something wrong or needs to be repaired, please let us know so it can be fixed right away. If you can be the person to fix it, please feel empowered to do so! We can't be everywhere at once, and sometimes we have to wait before we can make the change. So your efforts to be the eyes and ears and hands of the clinic make all the difference.

CPR FOLLOW-UP

For those that took the CPR class online and the hands-on at HCD, please remember to send me a copy of your CPR card as soon as it is emailed to you. Please keep an eye out on your email you registered with and remember to check your spam filter, too. Huge thanks to the doctors for helping get everyone recertified for another two years!

DESIGNS FOR VISION

This is a great deal from Designs for Visions. Click HERE for the full information on their $450 off with a trade-in & loupes/LED combo.

CE AVAILABLE

We can get inundated with emails recommending webinars or continuing education credits for various topics. This one recently came through from the Compendium that I thought was very pertinent to our practice.

We have seen quite a few patients with hypertension within the last few months. This is a great opportunity to learn more on how we can best treat our patients with this health issue. You can click HERE for more information. If you'd like to have specific training on this during our team meeting, please let me know and we will look for a heart doctor to visit with us.
