Hello, Teams! Welcome to a new month with lots going on each week. Please review our headlines for the week and send a Valentine emoji back to your team to let everyone know you've read and are ready to go!
February Schedule
Lots of moving parts in February as doctors are out at HCD and Kristin is joining us from EVG. Please review and let Kolina know ASAP if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks to Kolina for getting our schedules together!
IV Sedation with Dr. Henrie
Following up with our conversation from the Team Meeting. Dr. Henrie will not pursue renewing his sedation permit at this time, so no need to help recruit patients for oral or IV sedation. He will go through a recertification process instead which will better serve his needs and the needs of our patients that need that extra boost of confidence to complete their treatment. Thank you all for your willingness to help!
National Children's Dental Health Month

It's that time year again! Both practices are reaching out to the community to volunteer with various schools and we'd love for you to join us!
Evergreen will be at Academy Charter School on 2/21 and 2/28. HCD will be at Tudor Elementary 2/10, Campbell Elementary STEM 2/15 and 2/21. We'd love to have you join us as either presenters or cheerleaders. The kids love to see new faces especially professionals such as yourselves. Please let me know if you'd like to help in Anchorage, and let Mikhayla know if you'd like to help in Palmer.
Also, we are looking at returning to Russian Jack Elementary for a half day of dental screenings on Friday, March 24, 2023. If you'd like to help with this event, please let me know ASAP. We will reach out to other offices to invite them to participate as well. It's going to be fun at each event and we'd love to have you there!
Safe Amalgam Removal Protocol
As we our doctors prepare for their trip to IAOMT, it's good for us to review some of the protocols we follow according to the International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology. This includes the SMART or Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique. Please take a few minutes to read through the protocol and let's talk about how you see HCD and EVG following the recommendations outlined in this protocol.
The IAOMT protocol recommendations for amalgam removal are known as the Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique (SMART). Note that SMART is presented as a set of recommendations. Licensed practitioners must exercise their own judgment concerning the specific treatment options to utilize in their practices.
Valentine's Day is February 14th
Let's spread the love through empathy for our patients, team and self. Here are a few videos to help give more insight to empathy and how to increase our emotional intelligence.
