Welcome to NOVEMBER, Team!

NOVEMBER SCHEDULE
Lots of varying schedules this month and so I ask that we all pay close attention to who will be in or out throughout the month. I apologize for the delay in getting the November schedule to you. Please let me know if you have any questions.
DECEMBER DRAFT
And while we're at it... Let's go ahead and look at December's schedule. If you have any changes or concerns, please let me know ASAP. Thank you!
HEDGEHOG REVIEW

Thank you for your help in keeping our practices in line with protocols we've set for safety and simplicity's sakes. I'd like to put the hedgehogs we've already reviewed in our headlines as another reminder to help us avoid the prickles and enjoy the tickles... Have you ever seen a hedgehog get tickled? Well... check this out (after you read the "prickles").
Ergonomics. Avoid chicken wings and stretch often.
Looking across the book when scheduling. Your "op" is everyone's op. Book accordingly.
Other rooms being used and not being put back. Everyone's op is available to you. Just remember to place everything back as before and restock as necessary.
Borrow something from an op - put it back. Set each other up for success by returning items as soon as you're done.
X-ray Mounts. Match each piece of the XCP to its proper family. Attention to this detail makes it easier for everyone including yourself!
Protecting the schedule. Don't sabotage the schedule - schedule the PERFECT APPOINTMENT initially to avoid the need to chart audit in the future.
END OF NIGHT ROUTINE
Patients have gone home, the lights are dimmed, and the HCD After Hours Playlist is playing in the background. (EVG, feel free to borrow this playlist to get into the after hours groove!) What do you do now? Well, according to our last team meeting, you:
Empty water from the lines and bottles,
Turn off (restart) computers
Lift op chair to the top level
Tuck pedals for chair, lasers, etc. under chair
Turn off ALL equipment including x-ray heads, chairs, composite warmers, etc.
Turn off heaters and fans
High five your team member as you both stroll out of office together to enjoy the rest of your evening.
ANNUAL FORMS TO UPDATE

Our protocol for updating forms has been... updated. When a patient is due to update their health history (which is once a year), the patient will also update their HIPAA form and General Consent form. This will allow us to stay on top of people that should have access to the patient's records and cover the need to remind patients of the risks, benefits, and alternatives for hygiene, x-rays, and restorative treatment such as crowns and fillings. All other treatment including dentures, extractions, implants, etc., have their own consent form and must be signed on the day of treatment. Please let me know if you have further questions.
FEE INCREASE
Please be aware our fees were increased in October. For existing patients with current treatment plans, their fees will be updated to the current fee schedule on December 1, 2022. Please have your patients sign their treatment plans showing the expiration date for fees. The expiration date should be set for 6 months out. Patients that are currently in treatment will not see a fee increase as they've accepted their treatment plans and are moving forward on them. If you have questions about a specific patient, please speak with the doctors or myself and we'll help resolve the concern.
DJ KAYLA BE-BOP-SHA-BOO-BOP
Thank you, Kayla, for helping us keep the music moving and grooving through our work day! And thank you to the team for keeping the bubbles to a minimum regarding music! I loved Tong's idea for people to submit their songs for the playlist and let's continue to build a playlist we all enjoy. In choosing your songs, please ensure your song doesn't have profane language, sexual content, or too strong of a beat. What's too strong a beat? If you feel like jumping up and doing the Dougie or jumping into a mosh pit because the beat tells you to do so... it's probably not the best song for HCD. We want to keep our patients' blood pressure down and their visit comfortable.
Now if you want to do the cha cha... we'll consider that song if you show us your skills.
Send me your emoji for the week showing you made it to the end!
