Just a few points of interest for you today...
HCD Logo
About that logo we discussed at the last team meeting... We are looking for your help to updated HCD's brand starting with the logo. No design experience necessary - just ideas. You can put your ideas to paper using a pen or crayon. Depending on the level of participation, we will have a contest to see whose design is the best amongst our team. The winner will receive $500! The chosen design will go through slight customization provided by Monsieur Henrié. Click HERE for more details.
The Scrubs Fairy
Let me tell you a little story about the Scrubs Fairy. The Scrubs Fairy comes once a week to help sort out our freshly cleaned scrubs from our laundry man, June. She tenderly sorts each item with loving care according to their type and size. Sometimes she leaves a little surprise by sorting them by color! She removes those bothersome empty wire hangers that lull us into a false security that our perfect pair of scrubs are hanging on them. You may not think the Scrubs Fairy is real because you rarely see her! Don't let her stealthy ways fool you for she IS! We don't want to scare her away by disrespecting the loving effort she places into making sure you can find your snuggly scrubs in the morning. Please keep the tops up top and the bottoms on the bottom. And remember to remove your hangers so we don't wind up with this kind of fairy...

New Team Members
As you know, we are looking for new team members to join us. We had Edmel with us today who is interested in entering the dental field as a Dental Assistant. We have Kenya who will be with us on Thursday morning who is also interested in entering the dental field as a Hygiene Coordinator. Please take time to meet them, greet them, get them a coffee, ask them awkward questions... whatever it takes to see if they are the right person for HCD. We rely on your input and want to ensure the next person to join our team can hang with our level of amazing awesomeness... or is that awkwardness? Eh, they're both true.
Key Cards
From our landlord, we have all been given a power to enter the building at a moment's notice. With your one key card, you can enter on days the building is closed, or show up at 4:30 AM to take a shower downstairs because your water heater broke at your house. Here are the days when the building will be closed and a key card will be necessary:
Memorial Day, May 31st, 2021
Independence Day, July 5th, 2021
Labor Day, September 6th, 2021
Thanksgiving Day, November 25th, 2021
Christmas Day, December 24th, 2021
The building is officially open on M-F from 6:30A to 6:30P and Saturday 9A to 5P
Remember to Breath(e)
Finally, just a quick reminder to all of us to take a breath. When it's been a stressful day and you feel like eating your feelings... When you have that patient that shares all their deepest, darkest secrets with you after they took 20 minutes filling out their health history update... When you just keep tripping on things real or imagined... When you're excited for Morning Huddle and no one else is... Just remember to breathe in deep. Release it slowly through your nose. Snap your fingers and tell yourself it's going to be a great day at Health Centered Dentistry. Because it is going to be a great day since you're here with us.
