Sterilization Pouches
It's come to my attention that we need a reminder on how to tell if a package has been sterilized. We use Burkhart sterilization packaging. The information below is from Henry Schein, but they are almost identical in color. Please look at the corners of your pouch and the color of your tape on the cassette before you take it. The corners on the pouch must be dark grey, brown. If you see something that is pink or light blue, put it back on the dirty side for sterilization. If your tape does not have dark grey diagonal lines on it, it must go back on the dirty side.
For those helping remove packages from the autoclave, please ensure the items have run through the proper setting for sterilization. Just because the door is closed does not guarantee the system has been run.

Dr. Waddle's Schedule
There are multiple days coming up that Kaitlyn will be out of the office. This means Dr. Waddle will only have Hanna as her assistant. Please be mindful of this when scheduling. We can double book against hygiene and production, but we cannot do two appointments of production. Look at the heading of the columns to see which column is to have which treatment before scheduling. Do NOT double book DAW when Kaitlyn is out.
To help ensure success for Dr. Waddle and her team, please keep an eye out for her schedule. Help flip operatories as needed and please help make sure Hanna gets a break. We know this is something that many of you are already doing and we greatly appreciate your attentiveness to their needs!
IAOMT Conference
We were able to look into the IAOMT 2023 Conference and discovered there is no video available. However, there are slides available for your review. In fact, there's a lot. So I've included all the ones for Biological Dentistry and Biological Periodontal Hygienist. If you'd like any of the others shown in the photos below, please let me know and I'll get them to you.

A quick reminder for all of us, if you are running late, please send a text to Kolina and the doctor you'll be working with that day. For hygienists, you get a choice of doctor when you're sending your message to Kolina. Since Kolina is here every day, she is able to relay to the team any hiccups that may arise due to our team's ability to be at work.
She is also in charge of any time off requests. She is keeping track of days that people have already requested off and will let you know if there are any conflicts that may prevent us from giving an automatic okay.
Lastly, since this summer is... well, like every summer and people want time off, there will be several days where the doctors will be off. Please turn in a time off request for those days. Otherwise, we will plan on having you here at the regular time with everyone else. If you don't show up, we will call to make sure you are okay. We have various tasks that need to be done and we can always use your help in keeping the practice running smoothly.

Sea Kayaking in Seward
Jillian did a great presentation on Thursday to inform us of the outing we will be doing over two weekends as a practice. Please confirm the date you signed up for and whether or not that will work. If you have any conflicts, please let me know ASAP so we can either accommodate or allow someone else to join us. Thank you!
