Hello, Team!
Received this article from a dental consulting group and I really loved the imagery of the best way to coach. Coaching isn't lecturing. Coaching is helping the coachee come to a place of enlightenment with the help of the coacher. Our actions, no matter how honorable, can unwittingly be suffocating instead of uplifting. Team Meeting
We have a special Team Meeting this Thursday, June 23rd. Dr. Melissa Webster from Fairbanks Periodontics will be here in person to introduce herself and her practice. We will also have the OSHA crew come discuss Bloodborne Pathogens per our annual requirements. If you won't be here in person, I will send out a Zoom link via email based on request.
July Schedule
Here is our July schedule. Please note that our office will be open the 1st week of July. Some of you have requested the time off when you thought the office would be closed. If you'd like to work, please let me know, especially our hygienists as we always have people willing to come in for cleanings.
Team Photos
Here are the photos Janna recently sent us for our new headshots. We now need one for Kayla, too! Please note Janna will be in the office this upcoming week to take photos for our website. I don't have a new time yet, but I'll let you know as soon as I have that time secured.
Fun Facts
We almost have all the surveys in for Fun Facts about our team. If you haven't finished the survey yet, please do so ASAP so our web team can move forward with our new website. If you need me to send you the survey again, please let me know.
CEREC Manual
Just received a CEREC manual from Patterson Dental for our dental assistants. I will print a few copies off for the practice. You are welcome to those or you can just read it here:
There is a complete manual on the Primemill on the shared drive located here: N:/HCD Policy Manual/Equipment/2022 CEREC Primemill Companion 5.2.2.pdf. This is a 321 page manual that has great information on the CEREC machine, polishing techniques, etc. I highly recommend you review this manual to help strengthen your CEREC abilities.
Eye Wash Station
We were informed by our OSHA Consultation that the Eye Wash Station must be checked weekly to ensure its proper function. I have included a note in the Appointment Book for every Monday. If you check the Eye Wash Station, please write the date and your initials on the next available line. I appreciate your help to ensure our emergency prep has been done in case of an emergency!

Reason to Return
I thought this was a great idea from Dentrix Guru, Novonee. Full blog HERE. From their post:
I call them Reason for Return (or RFR for short) and you can build them into your templates.
Fractured tooth in jeopardy of breaking
Bleeding which is a sign of infection
Unusual spots on the tongue or cheek
Decay that could lead to pain
What do you think about adding something like this to our clinical notes in order to make it easier during recall? Share your thoughts below in the comment section.
