Good day, HCD Team!

I hope everyone has been enjoying a nice August with the sun, rain, and whatever else is happening with our weather. A few insights for today. It's so nice to know I work in a place where the people are awesome and their teeth are clean. <3 #onelove

X-rays & XCP's

Have you ever felt like you just didn't belong? Have you ever felt like a square amongst a bunch of circles? Have you ever felt like you could do so much more if only you had the right tools? Imagine feeling this way all the time because you've been packed in the wrong packages. They see where they belong, but they can't make it... they can't become more because we won't let them. Don't be the obstacle to their success.

One of these bags just doesn't belong here... If you don't know your xcp families, let me know and I'll breakdown their family tree for you.

Together we can end this cycle of frustration, stagnation, and consternation.

Prioritizing Organization

You may have noticed a lot of things in the trash lately or more room throughout the lab. These changes are brought to you by concerned team members that have noticed a build-up of excess materials and other such treasures throughout the lab and clinic. Your help is greatly appreciated to help keep our areas clean and easily accessible by others. We will make sure to label everything once we have assigned the location for each item.

As for your operatory, please make it a priority to do spring cleaning at least once a month. This includes wiping down cupboards, all the nooks and crannies of your chairs, organizing your drawers, etc. You'll be amazed at the dirty, little secrets that await you...

Vacation Schedules

Providers, I need your vacation schedules for 2022 ASAP. The deadline is for next Thursday, September 2nd, but I would love to have them before so I can present them to the team. Please send me your dates and I'll update Dentrix accordingly. We are scheduling into January/February now, so the sooner the better!

Keeping Up with the Sterilization

You may have noticed how sterilization backs up quicker than the Glenn Highway at Thunderbird Falls after the State Fair has let out. As a team, we need to always be aware of sterilization and ensure instruments are run through in a timely manner. Please make checking on sterilization part of your routine before you take a break or talk with your accountability buddy about the amazing progress you're making on achieving your goals.

Spear Education

Did you recently receive an email from Spear Education saying you've been assigned classes by a certain Dr. Kent Marchant? If so, you are welcome to use your "downtime" at work going through those lessons. We will continue our Spear pathway for x-rays at our next meeting. Remember to pick your BEST x-rays to share with everybody on that day.
